Judge Paige Reese Whitaker has ruled against state of Georgia attempting to revoke Young Thug’s probation. The attempted revocation came after the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office accused the rapper of “escalating threats and witness intimidation.”
Online, Young Thug called investigator Marissa Viverito the “biggest liar in the DA’s office,” sparking the probe into his probation status.
Judge Whitaker wrote: “Upon consideration of the State’s April 2, 2025 Motion to Revoke Defendant’s probation which alleges a violation of the terms and conditions of Defendant’s probation for having posted a picture of a particular law enforcement officer with the caption ‘biggest liar in the DA office,’ and Defendant’s April 3, 2025 response thereto, and having reviewed the terms and conditions of Defendant’s probation imposed by this Court, the Court declines to revoke Defendant’s probation based on the violation asserted.”

Thug, who took a plea deal in October 2024, was initially sentenced to 40 years, with five years commuted to time served and 15 years of probation. Under the agreement, he was required to follow strict conditions to maintain his release.
Prosecutors argued that Thug’s online behavior violated those terms. They specifically called out posts aimed at Atlanta Police Department investigator Marissa Viverito, including an alleged tweet in which he referred to her as “the biggest liar in the DA’s office.” Another post reportedly featured images of Viverito with a caption stating, “All my homies hate Viverito.”
According to the motion, these posts led to Viverito’s and her parents’ home addresses being leaked online. Prosecutors also claim that one post encouraged followers to pull up on her mama crib, while another allegedly included a threat against District Attorney Fani Willis.
