SESAME STREET: Season 55

Season 55 of Sesame Street premieres next week. New episodes stream every Thursday on Max.

This is the final season for Max to be the home of Sesame Street. It’s unclear which network will acquire the iconic kids’ show that’s helped raise multiple generations. (The Hollywood Reporter)

The teaser trailer for season 55 features guest appearances by singers Noah Kahan, SZA and Reneé Rapp, who assures Elmo in the debut episode (quote) “Feelings are real so let them show.” (Billboard)

The full lineup includes Michael B. Jordan (Jan. 23), jazz singer Samara Joy (Feb. 6), Noah Kahan (March 6), SZA (April 10), country singer Chris Stapleton (July 24), Jonathan Van Ness (Aug. 21) and tennis legend Billie Jean King (Aug. 28)
