DIDDY: Prosecution Dropped Some Charges For Closing Arguments

Wednesday’s court session in the Sean “Diddy” Combs trial occurred without the jury present.
Prosecutors “simplified” the case for jurors by dropping a couple of the original indictments against Diddy of kidnapping and attempted arson.
The jurors will deliberate on the outstanding counts of sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution and racketeering. Jury deliberations may start on Monday.
Judge Arun Subramanian had intense discussions with the defense attorneys and prosecutors over the instructions that would be given to jurors so they “adequately understand the law.” Those heated negotiations went until 8 O’clock last night.
The judge scheduled the prosecution’s closing arguments for today. They could spend as many as four hours reviewing the evidence against Diddy and witness testimony.
The defense will have overnight to craft their response. Then on Friday, they will try to persuade the jury why the prosecution failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Diddy committed these alleged crimes. (USA Today)
