Nostalgia will play a factor in the success of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. It’s projected to make $100 million or more in its debut.

The sequel reunites Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara from the 1988 original. Plus, Jenna Ortega is added playing Ryder’s daughter.

Imax theaters in 1,000 locations scheduled screenings tonight ahead of Thursday afternoon previews. To meet the expected demand, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is booked at the most theaters – 4500 nationwide — for any movie this year.

Also opening around $5 million is the R-rated horror flick, The Front Room, starring Brandy Norwood. (Deadline)
