Queen Latifah is getting a biopic. Will Smith is part of a team producing hip hop stories for the big screen. Queen Latifah will be the first of several proposed projects. Her biopic will cover the early years as a rapper and evolving into an Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning actress. (The Hollywood Reporter)
The starring cast of ABC’s sit-com Abbott Elementary got a significant pay raise for the upcoming fourth season. Creator and executive producer Quinta Brunson will make $400,000 per episode. While the others will at least double their previous salary and take home $200,000 each week of the 22-episode season. (Deadline)
Hallmark’s 15th Annual Countdown to Christmas features 31 new holiday movies. The event kicks off the weekend of October 18th with ’Twas the Date Before Christmas, Holiday Crashers and Scouting for Christmas. (Variety)
