Rising star Tyla took to TikTok on Thursday, May 7, 2026, to share a funny moment from the Met Gala involving Rihanna. The Water singer described approaching the icon only to have the interaction cut short by family duties.
“I met her, but I think she was occupied,” Tyla told fans. “I went up to her and was like, ‘Oh hey, you know,’ and she was like, ‘Hey, umm… my baby daddy’s calling me,’ and then she left.” Tyla laughingly added, “I was like, oop.”
