HOT 91.7 FM JAY-Z: Sexual Assault Civil Suit Dropped

The Jane Doe dropped her lawsuit that Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs sexually assaulted her at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty when she was 13 years old. The voluntary dismissal “with prejudice” means that the anonymous accuser cannot re-file the suit.
Her story dating back to the year 2000 sounded sketchy from the start. She claimed the assault took place at a private party. However, there’s photographic proof of Jay partying at a nightclub that night. Her father could not recall — as she stated — that he drove 5-hours from Rochester to pick her up in New York City.
Jay-Z released a statement (quote) “Today is a victory. The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims. I felt that [attorney] Mr. Tony Buzbee was placing a gun to my head that I either bow to his demands or endure personal and financial ruin.”
Diddy is still on the hook for a few dozen lawsuits filed by victims. He goes to court in May on federal charges of racketeering and trafficking. (The Hollywood Reporter)
