DIDDY: Defense Spent 30 Minutes Presenting Case
Written by Ariel Newbold on June 25, 2025
The Sean “Diddy” Combs trial is on pace to be in the juror’s hands this Friday.
Yesterday, the prosecution rested their case. The defense entered into evidence a few texts between Diddy and Cassie Ventura. Then they rested. The defense called zero witnesses in presenting their case in less than 30 minutes. Compared to the prosecution that took 30 days to question 34 witnesses.
The judge confirmed with Diddy that he chose not to take the witness stand in his own defense. He told the judge (quote) “That is my decision with my lawyers. I want to tell you thank you. You’re doing an excellent job.”
Today, the attorneys will discuss with the judge how the jurors will be instructed to weigh the evidence and testimony in determining Diddy’s guilt or innocence. Deliberations are expected to start Friday. Closing arguments are scheduled for tomorrow. Each side may take as many as four hours for their summations. (ABC News)
The courthouse will be packed every day until a verdict is reached, which could happen before the Fourth of July recess.
