Vybz Kartel — Jamaica’s self-proclaimed “Worl’ Boss,” born Adidja Palmer — spent over a decade in custody on a murder conviction before an appeal ultimately kept him from a retrial and he walked free in 2024. While he was locked up, protégée Shenseea used to perform their collab “Fever” solo, since Kartel physically couldn’t be there.

At the Reggae Land festival in Milton Keynes, UK, Kartel finally brought Shenseea out live to perform their song “Panic” together — the real, in-person moment fans had been waiting years for. It’s making the rounds again this week. This comes right on the heels of Kartel announcing, during that same festival run, that he and longtime fiancée Sidem Öztürk — who stood by him the entire time he was incarcerated — are expecting their first child together.
