Diddy: Busted In The Big Apple

Diddy was arrested in New York City on Monday evening by federal authorities.

NBC reports that Homeland Security descended on a midtown hotel and took Diddy into custody. He was then brought to an FBI field office. Details are largely under wraps at this point, with unconfirmed reports that authorities searched his hotel room. It is believed that this arrest is tied to an ongoing investigation into allegations of sex trafficking against the disgraced mogul. According to TMZ, the arrest was actually planned for tomorrow (Tuesday) but something happened to shift the timeline last minute.

Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, said in a statement, “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.” He added, “He is an imperfect person but is not criminal.”
