HOT 91.7 FM USHER: “Cherry Picks” Wrong Fan

An Usher fan’s night almost ended at the hospital after he “cherry picked” the wrong person.
If you’ve been to one of his shows recently or even just paid attention on social media, you probably already know about how the singer uses the fruit for fan interaction. Specifically, he feeds cherries to women in the crowd who make a show out of suggestively eating them. It’s a moment that most fans seem to get a kick out of, but that backfired when Usher brought a woman on stage and dug into his bag of cherries only to find out she was allergic.
Of course, a seasoned pro like Usher reacted smoothly, jokingly asking the crowd “Does anybody have an Epipen in this b—-“ after realizing his mistake.
The cherries have been a big topic of conversation in recent weeks as far as Usher is concerned. Last month, he announced that he couldn’t feed cherries to fans when he plays in the United Arab Emirates due to strict laws around public decency. And just last week, he fed a cherry to Sabrina Carpenter — a gesture that the pop star’s father apparently didn’t appreciate.
