An actor has sued Tyler Perry for sexual harassment and assault.
Derek Dixon’s lawsuit alleges that the Atlanta-based writer and producer “used his considerable influence in the entertainment industry to create a coercive, sexually exploitative dynamic.”
Dixon seeks a quarter-million dollars of Tyler Perry’s estimated worth of $1.4 billion. His attorney told People magazine (quote) “This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam. But Tyler will not be shaken down.”
Dixon claims that Tyler Perry came onto him after casting him in the show The Oval. Perry sent him sexually charged texts. Groped him while he worked on The Oval. And on one occasion jumped into Dixon’s bed the night he crashed at Tyler’s home after having too much to drink. (TMZ)
