TIKTOK: Banned From Operating In Canada

TikTok is banned from operating in Canada. The government is forcing TikTok offices to close in Toronto and Vancouver. Canadians will still be able to post and watch videos on TikTok, which is owned and controlled by the Chinese.
A Canadian government official said (quote) “The decision was based on the advice of Canada’s security and intelligence community.”
The United States government has also flirted with the idea of abolishing TikTok over national security concerns. TikTok’s parent company was told to sell the app or face banishment. The Chinese own the popular app, controls the algorithm and collects data on Americans. (Billboard)
