The Carter’s: United Family at Mufasa Premiere

Jay-Z made a surprise appearance on the red carpet of the premiere of Disney’s Mufasa.

Beyoncé and their 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter are voice actors in The Lion King prequel. Bey returns as Nala and Blue Ivy appropriately plays Nala’s child, Princess Kiara. This is Blue Ivy’s feature film debut.

The family showed a united front despite Jay becoming a co-defendant in one of Diddy’s lawsuits. They are accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a young teen, who in 2000 was about the same age as Blue Ivy. He’s denied the accusations, and the family appears to be fully supportive.

Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, stood next to Jay on the red carpet. She had liked an Instagram post concerning Jay’s lawsuit. On Monday, Tina said her account had been “hacked. As you all know I do not play about my family.” (The Hollywood Reporter)
