Kanye West released a confessional song called “Cousins.”
He recounts their incestuous relationship. Kanye was sexually abused by a male relative until the age of 14. If true, this puts a new perspective on his mental health and acting out.
The song starts with the lyrics, “Hanging out with my cousin readin’ dirty magazines.” Kanye confesses that they replicated the gay images they saw as kids (quote) “My dad had playboy magazines but the magazines I found in the top of my mom’s closet were different.”
The unnamed cousin is serving time for beating a pregnant woman to death. He’s been behind bars since age 17. (The Wrap)
