Beloved actor John Amos had died and a lot of questions are unanswered. A shocking 45 days after his demise family members learned that Johns son, KC Amos neglected to tell anyone. According to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ Amos’ son, KC Amos , revealed his passing in a statement reportedly shared on Tuesday, October 1. “It is with heartfelt sadness that I share with you that my father has transitioned,” K.C. reportedly explained. “He was a man with the kindest heart and a heart of gold… and he was loved the world over. Many fans consider him their TV father. He lived a good life. His legacy will live on in his outstanding works in television and film as an actor…”

His daughter revealed that she found out about her fathers passing with the rest of the world. She took to Instagram saying “We are devastated and left with many questions about how this happened 45 days ago, learning about it through the media like so many of you”

He played the stoic patriarch in “Good Times” and the adult Kunta Kinte in the miniseries “Roots.” He was also a fast-food entrepreneur in “Coming to America.” John Amos has played many significant roles in his time and was affectionately considered as “Americas Dad”.
