TikTok and SoundCloud Join Forces to Enhance Music Discovery Experience

Written by on May 22, 2025

TikTok and SoundCloud have announced a new partnership that integrates SoundCloud into TikTok’s growing Add to Music App feature. This will make it easier than ever for fans to save music they discover directly to their SoundCloud playlists.

Launched globally in 2024, TikTok’s Add to Music App allows users to save songs from the platform to their favorite streaming services with a single tap. The feature has surpassed one billion track saves across platforms, significantly boosting streams and fan engagement.

With SoundCloud added as an option, users can instantly save songs to their Liked Tracks playlist on the artist-first platform, which hosts over 400 million tracks from over 40 million artists. Known for spotlighting emerging talent and unique sounds, SoundCloud’s integration empowers fans to stay connected to the artists and genres shaping tomorrow’s music scene.

The announcement coincides with the launch of Move Your Music. This new SoundCloud tool allows users to import their entire music libraries from other services such as Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music. The two updates allow listeners to consolidate their music experience and maintain a seamless discovery journey without interruption.

“SoundCloud has always been the go-to platform for discovering what’s next in music,” said Emmy Lovell, SoundCloud’s Global Head of Music. “This integration with TikTok helps turn casual listeners into lifelong superfans.”

Lindsey Kelt Zikry, TikTok’s Global Product Partnerships Lead, emphasized the importance of the collaboration: “We are thrilled to partner with SoundCloud to support emerging artists in reaching new fans on TikTok.”

Add to Music App appears as an “Add Song” button on TikTok videos, allowing users to save music directly to SoundCloud and set it as their default streaming service. Users can manage preferences anytime via TikTok’s settings.

Both platforms are known for setting the pace of global music trends, and the partnership signals a major step forward in unifying discovery, listening, and fandom in one streamlined experience.
