Both daughters of Beyoncé joined her on stage for opening night of the Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin Circuit Tour.
Last night’s show kicked off shortly after sunset in Los Angeles with “Ameriican Requiem”, “Blackbiird” and the “Star Spangled Banner.” Then early in the set, 13-year-old Blue Ivy joined mom for “America Has a Problem”. She danced at center stage. Beyoncé could not hold back a proud smile.
Beyoncé sang “Protector” with Rumi by her side. This was the first time that the 7-year-old appeared on stage during a performance. The song’s lyrics include, “Even though I know someday you’re gonna shine on your own, I will be your protector.”
A video montage followed the song showing Blue Ivy and Rumi growing up with Beyoncé by their side.
The Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin Circuit Tour will travel to nine cities for a total of 32 stadium shows through the end of July. (USA Today)
