Ariana Grande is no longer dating a married man.
Her boyfriend of two years, Ethan Slater and now ex-wife Lilly Jay had been high school sweethearts. They started dating in 2012 and married in 2018. The couple finalized their divorce last week.
Ariana Grande met Ethan on the set of Wicked. He dumped Lilly Jay and their one-year-old son for Ariana. She left her husband Dalton Gomez, as well, for this new romance.
In a conversation with Page Six, Lilly Jay — who celebrated four years of marriage with Slater, 31, last fall, before he filed for divorce this week — broke her silence about his romance with his Wicked costar Grande, 30. Jay and Slater share a baby son.
“[Ariana’s] the story really. Not a girl’s girl,” Jay told the outlet. “My family is just collateral damage.”
Jay also said she was focused on being “a good mom” to her and Slater’s son.
Now that Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater are both legally unattached, they can freely pose together this November on the Wicked world premiere red carpet. (Us Weekly)
