Cardi B faces a civil suit for whacking a concertgoer with a microphone. She escaped criminal charges in the 2023 incident at Las Vegas’ Drai’s Beachclub.
They’re using the pseudonym. Jane Doe is supposedly “suffering from mental health issues as a result of the incident.” Her defense attorney scheduled a press conference in Vegas for today.
The alleged victim, who is suing for assault and battery, said (quote) “What has been written off as a joke by many people is actually a traumatic experience.”
The woman tossed a drink at Cardi in the middle of a performance. Cardi hurled the mic in retaliation and smacked the women from Cleveland, Ohio. There’s a video taken from every angle of the incident. Cardi’s backing vocals continued while the microphone was retrieved from the crowd. (NBC News)
