Three years after a court ordered gossip vlogger Tasha K to pay Cardi B $3.8 million in damages for defamation, the two have finally reached a settlement. The agreement comes after Tasha K filed for bankruptcy, prompting negotiations to restructure her financial obligations.
According to journalist Dennis Byron, Cardi B has accepted a five-year payment plan from Tasha K, significantly reducing the judgment to approximately $1.5 million. However, the terms of the deal are strict: Tasha K is prohibited from mentioning Cardi B in any capacity and must maintain rigorous accounting of her income and restitution payments. Should she fail to comply, the agreement will be nullified.
The settlement was contingent on Cardi B’s approval, signaling the rapper’s willingness to compromise after a lengthy legal battle. Cardi initially took legal action against Tasha K after the vlogger spread false claims about her, leading to a high-profile court victory in 2022.
