People across the globe expressed heightened concern for Queen Elizabeth’s health after it was reported that she tested positive for COVID-19 more than a week ago.

According to New York Times, Buckingham Palace announced on Tuesday the Queen is well enough to return to her daily duties as monarch, through virtual means of course. She is reportedly set to appear before audiences with representatives from other countries in virtual engagements and other day-to-day responsibilities.

Queen Elizabeth tested positive for the virus on Feb. 20, and subsequently, several other people residing at Windsor Castle saw positive test results as well. As a result, she cancelled some of her virtual engagements after the palace announced she was experiencing mild symptoms.

While the palace has not stated that the Queen contracted the virus from anyone in Windsor Castle, it was reported that Prince Charles tested positive just 10 days before Queen Elizabeth.

England recently ended their coronavirus restrictions, including the requirement for citizens to isolate for five days after testing positive. According to ABC News, English officials are still advising people to stay at home, but they are not legally required to do so.
