Written by on March 10, 2023

Last Sunday night (March 5), we broke the news that several people were trampled on and hospitalized following a GloRilla and Finesse2Tymes concert in Rochester, New York. Since, the concert venue has had its license revoked as a third victim dies.

The stampede incident happened as concertgoers were exiting the venue, and a surge occurred after hearing what witnesses claimed to be gunshots. Since the incident, a third victim has now died, and the venue has had its license revoked.

Some time after leaving the venue — known as Main Street Armory — GloRilla shared a tweet addressing the incident. She said, “I’m just now hearing about what happened wtf praying everybody is ok.”

Finesse2Tymes eventually spoke out as well, and sent his best wishes to the victims and their families. As both rappers’ released their statements, reports of two women dying would break. Since the first two deaths, the city of Rochester, New York has denied a renewal of venue’s entertainment license. On Wednesday (March 8), the city pulled the venue’s license, following a shut down, as the city continues its criminal and regulatory investigations — which include fire and code enforcement inspections on the building.
